Our full garden design process takes your project from initial vision to detailed design and delivery, with care given to every stage along the way. Stage A - Preliminaries

  • This is where your garden transformation begins! In a relaxed 1-2 hour meeting, we’ll explore your ideas, lifestyle, and what you want to achieve. It’s best if all homeowners are present, so we capture everyone’s vision before setting the design brief.

  • Understanding your garden is key. We assess its layout, existing features, views, and potential challenges. We also look at how your outdoor space connects with your home and surroundings, ensuring a harmonious design that works with the environment.

  • After our consultation, we provide a comprehensive summary of insights, including key functional needs, aesthetic preferences, and design opportunities. This document becomes the foundation for everything that follows.

Stage B – Concept & Outline Design

  • Now the fun begins! We create initial design concepts and mood boards, helping you visualize the look and feel of your future garden. These include inspiring images, planting ideas, and material suggestions to ensure we’re aligned on the direction.

  • With your feedback, we refine the concept into a scaled outline plan, balancing structure, flow, and planting. A combination of hand-drawn sketches and computer visuals brings the design to life, allowing you to truly see your new garden before any work begins.

Stage C – Detailed Design & Planning

  • The design takes shape with precise construction plans that guide the landscapers. Every detail is considered, from pathways to water features, ensuring seamless execution.

  • We provide a clear breakdown of materials, finishes, and construction techniques, helping you get accurate cost estimates and high-quality results.

  • To ensure clarity, we create technical drawings that illustrate level changes and key features in greater detail, helping both you and the landscapers fully understand the design.

Stage D – Planting Design

  • A carefully curated planting plan ensures year-round beauty, considering soil type, color schemes, and seasonal interest. We balance textures, heights, and structures to create a garden that thrives in every season.

  • We source plants from trusted specialist nurseries and oversee their placement on-site to guarantee they are arranged exactly as planned.

Stage E – Tender & Contractor Selection

  • To ensure fair pricing and top-quality work, we gather three competitive quotes from trusted landscapers.

  • We carefully compare quotes, provide a summary report, and help you select the best contractor. Once chosen, we formalize contracts and ensure everything is in place for a smooth start.

Stage F – Construction & Completion

  • We issue detailed setting-out drawings and conduct site inspections to ensure the design is executed precisely.

  • Unforeseen issues can arise during construction. We work closely with the contractor to resolve any challenges efficiently while maintaining design integrity.

  • As the project nears completion, we oversee the final planting stage, ensuring feature plants and trees are positioned perfectly.

  • Before completion, we conduct a thorough quality check. Any minor adjustments needed are noted and addressed promptly, ensuring the project is finished to the highest standard.
