Designed with sound in mind the garden celebrates and explores sound's contribution to our environment. It is a light, modern courtyard garden with a central water feature that, like a heartbeat, provides a slow resonation 'pulse'. whilst water splashes rhythmically into a lower pool.

Limestone paving gives smooth, smart surfaces that contrast with soft flowing lines of herbaceous planting and the organic shapes of silver birch branches in the boundary screens. Silvery willow is the backdrop and looks almost fluid in the breeze. Bright juvenile leaves of Eucalyptus shine and shimmer in the sun, whilst swords of Astelia and spiky Fasciculia provide another contrasting form.
