"We are delighted with the garden, it is great for wildlife and the design makes the garden seem much larger.
We are delighted that you listened so well to what we wanted and appeared to have no problems encorporating our
quite specific requirements into the garden design.”
Hugh and Sarah Bradshaw
A bird friendly garden and haven for this family with two young daughters was needed. The soil was good but the garden was heavily shaded by large trees.
An important view through the house from the front door needed to be improved. Because space was limited it was important that the design was carefully considered in order to make the most of the garden.
A paved dining area was included using silvery-grey sandstone setts. Laid in curves the design leads out into the garden. Plants were chosen to attract birds and insects. The existing Oak and Ash trees were retained but reduced professionally by a tree surgeon.
Because of the heavy shade the garden is designed to be a cool shady green retreat during the summer months. The green is punctuated by soft pastel shaded flowers which stand out in the shade.
The peak season of interest is spring where blossom and spring bulbs combine to produce an uplifting effect
